Family Medicine Site Evaluation Presentation Summary

I presented three cases during this rotation: a hypertensive urgency patient, a patient with rectal bleeding, and another patient with hemoptysis. I also presented 10 pharm cards on drugs that I saw during my family medicine rotation. During both site visits I presented these cases with the relevant history with pertinent “OLDCARTS” information, relevant past medical history, surgeries, pertinent positive and negative ROS, and pertinent positive and negative physical exam findings. Along with those elements I concluded with my differential diagnoses, assessment, and plan. The feedback I had received was that my presentations were satisfactory for my first rotation. I mistakenly added things like past surgical history that was irrelevant to the patient’s case. For future presentations, I will work on making them more concise by mainly including only the pertinent positives and negatives related to the patient’s chief complaint.
